Help Needed for US Troops
"SI Yellow Ribbon" is a completely volunteer and non-profit organization,
by a small family in Southern Illinois. They are dedicated to filling
needs and wants of overseas soldiers by sending packages,
cards and letters.
Since it's formation in March of 2003 they have successfully sent packages to thousands of soldiers!
What started as a "SI" (Southern Illinois) campaign has now grown to supporting soldiers originally from East to West coast
serving overseas. SI Yellow Ribbon will be here as long as the need exists, but they need your help! "SI Yellow
Ribbon" is a wonderful project to "adopt" to collect items for care packages as well as drives for postage funds. The

Queens of New York organization is helping in the fight against AIDS by participating in the world's largest AIDS fundraiser.
This year, Queens of New York would like to make a significant contribution to the 2006 Grand
Total with our team goal of $5,000.This year's event will take place Sunday, May 21, 2006 .

Make A Child Smile Cards & Gift Drive
Catherine Jackson, Ms. American Elegance 2005 is collecting cards
and small gifts for the children of the Make a Child Smile Organization in Coral Springs, Florida. Catherine's goal is to
send one gift and one card to each of the current/2004 Make a Child Smile children for all of the Major holiday, Valentines
DAy, Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Each of the children would love to have their days brighten
by recieveing a simple card and a small gift. Consider joining Catherine in this effort to brighten a child's day
and "Make a Child Smile". Cards can be religious or non-religious and homemade or store bought and gifts should be small (for
example: themed stuffed animal, stickers, book and crayons, etc.) Mail any donations to: P.O. Box 439375 two
weeks prior to each holiday.
SI Yellow Ribbon Campaign has added SO many new soldiers (several hundred)
over the past week, and demands are REALLY growing for both items for the packages and especially postage funds. SI

Penny Drive For AIDS

Kendra Strickland Miss American Volunteer 2005
is starting a new volunteer project called Purse Pals
where she takes young, needy girls in her community shopping and buy them items they might not otherwise get. She
needs people to donate purses so that each girl can have a cute purse to take on the shopping trip. Kendara will fill the

Heros for a Day Donations
With the same concept as the Queen for a Day program, Heros for a Day is a program for Boys where police and firefighters
come speak to boys. The boys receive "Hero" apparell to keep and a Hero medal. Boys dress up clothing is greatly needed.

Princess Project Hostesses Needed
The Princess Project, founded by Marian Weyer, needs ladies to host princess project parties in their states.
The Princess Project honors girls who face life challenges with a princess party and aims to give girls with challenges the
attitude of a princess. This program differs from the QFA program, that does a lot to put smiles on the faces of sick girl
all over the US in that it honors girls who face various life challenges as opposed to just those with cancer and
